We know that any event can be a lot of work to organise and we're especially conscious that the organisers are expected to be the main participants too, so we shall always work with you to cause you as little stress as possible. Here is some additional information to help you on your way…
Where we play
We're quite geographically diverse, spread from Milton Keynes up to Stafford, and willing to travel fairly far afield. We've done dances in Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Nottingham, and Crewe, and in a slightly marquee in Much Wenlock in Shropshire. That's not to forget Tamworth in a very breezy bandstand, Dudley (including the Dudley beer festival), a gypsy wedding in the Blists Mill Victorian village near Telford, Tarporley near Chester...Basically, we're happy going anywhere in the Midlands (East and West). We will also consider going further afield although this might involve accomodation costs and additional travel costs. We shall let you know if this is the case and we will always provide a quote for you so you know the overall cost of booking us.
What we provide
Band and caller for a start - though if you've organised your own caller already, we're happy to play with them and Kaz can have a night off.PAT-tested PA system. We're happy for you to use a microphone for speeches etc. We also have a CD player hooked up to it for incidental music during long breaks (buffet, etc) and you can provide CDs if you wish.
What we do
You may not have organised anything like this before, and we know it's hard work, so we are always happy to help if we can. We can liaise direct with your venue regarding room layout, entry to the venue for the band for set up so we don't get caught up with guests and speeches (very important at weddings) and facilities for the band, etc. We will also work with you regarding start times, finish times, how you'd like the event to run, food break times, equipment for speeches, raffle calling, cake-cutting, first dances, special music, in fact anything that will enhance the enjoyment of your event.Anything else?
