Born at an early age, Mike has played guitar for many years but gets less confused by the four strings on a bass, so has concentrated on that for the past 25 years. He works as a computer programmer, and other interests include home computing and motorcycling. If elected Miss World, he would travel extensively and meet small furry animals.
Assorted basses include two four-string Warwick Thumb basses, one fretted and one fretless, a brace of Antoniotsai 5-string basses, an Antoniotsai 7-string bass (he doesn't play it much but apparently it makes a good ironing board) and a NS WAV-4 electric upright bass. For occasional guitar duties he uses a Variax modelling guitar, which emulates various electric and acoustic guitars.
